INTRODUCTION AND PURPOSE

1. Overview

These Terms and Conditions govern the membership and interactions with the British Chamber of Commerce and Industry Lille (hereinafter referred to as “BCCI Lille”), an Association loi 1901 incorporated in France.

2. Organizational Purpose

BCCI Lille has three overarching objectives:

1. to foster business, commercial and cultural relations between the UK and France
2. to promote and support  its members’ businesses
3. to have a positive  impact in its community (Lille, the Métropole Lilloise, and the Hauts-de-France region).

3. Agreement to Terms

By applying for membership, individuals or entities acknowledge and agree to these Terms and Conditions.

MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY & CATEGORIES

1. Eligibility Criteria

Membership is open to businesses and individuals actively involved or interested in promoting business and commerce between the UK and France.

2. Membership Types

BCCI Lille offers various categories of membership, details of which are available upon request or on the BCCI Lille website.

MEMBERSHIP FEES, PAYMENT & RENEWAL

1. Fee Structure

Membership fees vary based on the category of membership and are subject to periodic review.

2. Payment Terms

Fees are payable annually in advance. Specific payment methods are outlined on the BCCI Lille website.

3. Renewal Process

Membership is subject to annual renewal. Terms of renewal are communicated to members prior to the expiration of their current membership term.

MEMBER RIGHTS & OBLIGATIONS

1. Benefits

Members are entitled to various benefits, including networking opportunities, business support, and advocacy services.

2. Code of Conduct

Members are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that upholds the integrity and objectives of BCCI Lille.

3. Member Responsibilities 

Members must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and BCCI Lille policies.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

1. Use of Materials

Materials provided by BCCI Lille are for member use only and must not be reproduced without permission.

2. Ownership

All intellectual property created by BCCI Lille remains its property.

TERMINATION & SUSPENSION OF MEMBERSHIP

1. Termination by Member

Members may terminate their membership by providing written notice to BCCI Lille. 

2. Termination by Chamber 

BCCI Lille reserves the right to terminate membership for reasons including non-payment of fees or breach of the code of conduct.

AMENDMENTS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Revision Policy

BCCI Lille may amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

2. Notification of Changes

Members will be notified of significant changes through email or the BCCI Lille website.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

1. Procedure

Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions should first be addressed through direct communication and, if unresolved, through mediation or arbitration.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

1. Liability

BCCI Lille is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from membership activities.

2. Indemnification

Members agree to indemnify BCCI Lille against any claims arising from their actions.

PRIVACY & DATA PROTECTION

1. Data Use

BCCI Lille commits to protecting member data in accordance with relevant data protection laws.

2. Compliance

Data collection and usage will comply with applicable privacy laws.

GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION

1. Applicable Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed under French law.
